Historical Significance
Argyllshire is home to the Ferguson family. The Fergusons from Strachur claim descent from the Dalraida Royal House. The Fergusons of Kilkerran are descendants of Fergus, who received his possessions under a grant from King Robert I. Sir John Ferguson of Kilkerran was born in 1708 and was made Baronet. In 1708, the Fergusons of Atholl were granted charters to their lands, acquired from Balliol as well as from King Robert Bruce. In 1745, during the Jacobite Rising, the Atholl Fergusons stood with Prince Charlie. Notable members of Clan Ferguson hail from Aberdeenshire, Banffshire, Kincardineshire, Dumfries, and Galloway.
Color Scheme & Pattern
This traditional pattern features a classic combination of deep green, navy blue, and black, accented with red and white stripes. The green and blue provide a rich, timeless base, while the black adds depth and contrast. The fine red lines bring a touch of vibrancy, and the white stripes offer a clean, defined look. Crafted from durable acrylic wool, this fabric embodies a perfect blend of heritage and elegance, suitable for both formal and casual occasions.
