Y2K Plaid Skirts
Low rise waistbands, short pleated hems and visible hardware, drawn from early 2000s cuts. The waistband sitting on the hip rather than at the natural waist is the single detail that defines Y2K and separates it from every other short pleated skirt in the range. You do not have to accept the standard length, since we cut to the finished length you send. Over 5000 tartan setts. The low rise is the defining detail and also the least forgiving thing you can do with a sett, since it puts the horizontal bands across the widest part of the hip. If that concerns you, keep the short length and take a high waist instead, because the attitude survives the change better than most people expect. Proportion carries the whole look, so keep the top cropped and the bag small.
