Flannels & Shackets
A shacket sits between a shirt and a jacket. Heavier cloth than a shirt, a boxier body, larger pockets and a hem cut to be worn out rather than tucked. It is the layer you reach for when a coat is too much and a shirt is not enough, which in most climates is half the year. Tartan and check patterns across the range, cut to your own chest, shoulder and body length. What separates a shacket from a heavy shirt is the cut rather than the cloth. A boxier body with room to layer underneath, a straight hem meant to be worn out, and pockets sized to actually hold something. Many use a snap or button front rather than a shirt placket. It covers the gap between a shirt and a coat, which in most climates is half the year.
