Casual Waistcoats
Casual Scottish waistcoats in tartan and tweed, cut to be worn on their own over a shirt rather than under a jacket. Fuller through the body than a formal waistcoat, with patch pockets and a fabric back on many styles. Cut to your own chest, waist and back length. Leave the bottom button undone on anything with a straight hem, which is nearly all of them. Back construction varies and it decides how the waistcoat can be worn. A lining back with an adjustable buckle strap is standard and is meant to be covered by a jacket. A full fabric back costs more and lets the waistcoat be worn alone without anything looking unfinished. If you intend to wear it open over a shirt with no jacket, ask about a full back before ordering.
