Pleated Plaid Skirts
Knife pleats folded in one direction, each overlapping the next, hanging from a fitted waistband. That construction is what produces the sharp vertical lines and the controlled swing that no other skirt shape gives you. Acrylic takes and holds a permanent crease, which is exactly why it is the right cloth for pleating. Choose your sett from over 5000 tartans and send your waist and finished length, since pleated skirts depend entirely on the waist sitting where it should. Knife pleats fold in one direction and overlap like the pages of a book, producing sharp vertical lines standing still and full colour in movement. Box pleats fold away from each other and sit flatter with a softer fullness. Acrylic takes and holds a permanent crease, which is precisely why it is the right cloth for pleating. Press each pleat individually on a cool setting through a cloth, working down rather than across.
