Plaid Midi Skirts
Midi length finishes between the knee and the ankle, most often at mid calf, roughly 27 to 32 inches from the waist. It is the length that flatters the widest range of heights, provided the hem clears the calf muscle rather than cutting across it. That one detail is why we cut to your own finished length instead of a standard. Available in pleated, A-line and wrap cuts across over 5000 tartan setts. The hem position is the entire decision at this length. Anything landing at the widest part of the calf shortens the leg, and moving it an inch or two either side removes the effect completely. Pleated and A-line both hang well here. A straight midi needs a vent or it restricts stride. Pair it with a boot or a low heel, since a flat shoe under a long hem shortens the whole line.
