Cottagecore Plaid Skirts
Muted and weathered tartans cut long and full, with a gentle gather rather than a sharp pleat. Cottagecore is built on soft colour, natural texture and volume, so weathered and ancient colourways in browns, sage and heather sit correctly where a bright modern sett does not. Midi and full length only, because the aesthetic depends on movement. Choose your sett from over 5000 tartans and send your waist and finished length. Weathered colourways are browned and softened as if aged outdoors. Ancient colourways use lighter tones meant to suggest older vegetable dyes. Both read gentle in a way modern colourways never will, which is why the aesthetic depends on them. A gathered or softly pleated waist suits it better than a sharp knife pleat, and the hem should reach mid calf or the ankle rather than the knee.
