MacKinlay Tartan

Originating in Perthshire, the MacKinlay name is derived from the Gaelic, “Mac Fionnlaigh,” meaning “son of Findlay.” The traditional lands of the clan are in the historic district of Lennox and they are originally descended from Findlay, a son of Buchanan of Drumikill. The MacKinlay Tartan is navy blue, bottle green, black and red. The modern, shown here, is the main tartan for the family.
