Scottish Kilt

Kennedy Bespoke Kilt

The Kennedy kilt has a rich history rooted in ancient Gaelic origins. The Kennedy family settled in Carrick, Ayrshire, under Gilbert, whose son Duncan became the 1st Earl of Carrick in the 12th century. Loyal allies of the Bruces, they supported the Wars of Independence. Gilbert's descendant, Lord Kennedy, elevated the family's status in 1457. Hugh Kennedy of Ardstinchar fought with Joan of Arc at Orleans. The 3rd Lord became the 1st Earl of Cassillis in 1509 but died at Flodden in 1513. Their legacy endures in Culzean Castle, designed by Robert Adam and later offered to General Eisenhower as a tribute. This Tartan weaves together an exquisite blend of colors, including shades of green, blue, black, red, purple and yellow. Its vibrant palette harmoniously captures the vivid beauty of Scotland's landscapes, paying tribute to the striking hills, shimmering lochs, and ancient forests.Discover more styles in our clan tartan kilt range.PurposeCasual Kilt.
