Works for Argyll, Prince Charlie and our other kilt jackets. Keep the tape level across front and back, and note your full height too.

Use a cloth tapeA tailor's soft tape, never a metal one.

How to measure

    Shoulder to shoulder

    Across the back, from the tip of one shoulder to the tip of the other.

  2. 2

    Chest D

    Around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms, level and snug.

  3. 3

    Waist E

    Around the natural waistline, tape straight across front and back.

  4. 4

    Sleeve length C

    From the shoulder point down the arm to the cuff.

  5. 5

    Jacket length Nape–hem

    From the collar seam straight down to the bottom edge.

Also note your height (B) — floor to top of head — so our cutters can balance the proportions.
