Glengarry and Balmoral bonnets, the two traditional Highland caps. A Glengarry is boat shaped with a crease along the top and ribbons at the back, worn fore and aft. A Balmoral is round and flat topped with a toorie at the centre, worn level at the front and pulled slightly to the right. Both take a cap badge at the front left. Measure around the head just above the ears. A Glengarry folds flat along its crease for storage and is worn straight front to back with the ribbons hanging free. A Balmoral is round and flat topped with a toorie at the centre, worn level at the front and pulled down slightly to the right. Both take a cap badge at the front left, and a clan crest badge shows the crest inside a strap and buckle, which is the correct form for a clan member.
