The Tweedside Hunting Tartan's journey is as intriguing as the land from which it hails. Born from the looms of DC Dalgliesh in 1968, this tartan weaves together threads of tradition and innovation. Its distinctive setting, absent from the annals of 19th-century collections, hints at a modern interpretation of ancient motifs, bridging the gap between past and present. Dive deep into the rich tapestry of Scottish history with the Tweedside Hunting Tartan. This captivating design, originating from the esteemed weavers William Wilson & Sons of Bannockburn, carries a legacy as vibrant as the highland landscapes it represents. While its exact inception remains veiled in the mists of time, historians speculate that it emerged as a 20th-century creation, a testament to the enduring craftsmanship of Scottish artisans.
With its deep blue backdrop reminiscent of the rolling Scottish skies, adorned with lush green stripes that echo the verdant hillsides, this tartan invites you to journey through the heart of Scotland's natural splendor. Delicate accents of white and black dance across the fabric, paying homage to the rich biodiversity of the highlands. The colors and their symbolism reflect the natural beauty and resilience of the Scottish landscape.
