Historical Significance
The Lang of Sherbrooke tartan is steeped in Scottish heritage, tracing its origins to the clan systems that were established in the Highlands. Traditionally, tartans were used to denote clan identity and territorial affiliations, making them significant symbols of Scottish culture. The Lang family, associated with the Sherbrooke area in Canada, reflects the diaspora of Scots who settled abroad, carrying their traditions with them. The colors and patterns of the tartan symbolize unity, loyalty, and resilience, embodying the spirit of those who wore it. Notable figures from the Lang lineage have contributed to the cultural and social fabric of their communities, further enriching this tartan's legacy.
Color Scheme & Pattern
The Lang of Sherbrooke tartan features a vibrant combination of blue, purple, black, green, yellow, and white, creating a visually striking and harmonious pattern. The deep blue evokes loyalty and trust, while purple adds a touch of elegance and creativity. Green represents growth and connection to nature, and the yellow lines provide a bright and energetic contrast. The white lines add a sense of purity and clarity, further enhancing the overall design. Crafted from 100% acrylic wool, this tartan ensures durability and comfort, making it suitable for various occasions. Its precise design showcases a classic checked pattern, embodying the timeless essence of Scottish craftsmanship.
