Historical Significance
The Corcoran Tartan holds a significant place in Scottish history and is closely associated with the esteemed Corcoran family, known for their strength, resilience, and deep-rooted traditions. Designed in 1994 by Annie Corcoran of Notre-Dame-de-Bois, Quebec, Canada, this tartan beautifully reflects the family's heritage and serves as a proud symbol of their enduring legacy. Tartans, with their distinct patterns and colors, have long been employed to identify various clans and families throughout Scotland. The Corcoran Tartan, with its unique blend of hues, holds a special place in the hearts of those seeking to connect with their ancestry and showcase their pride in Scottish traditions.
Color Scheme & Pattern
The Corcoran Tartan showcases a delightful combination of colors that come together harmoniously to create a visually captivating design. Stripes of brown, black, white, green, and pink hues intertwine in a balanced and elegant manner. The earthy tones of brown and black exude a sense of stability and strength, while the crisp white adds a touch of purity and clarity to the pattern. The vibrant green and soft pink hues provide a refreshing contrast, symbolizing the lush landscapes and gentle blossoms of Scotland. Together, these colors form a tapestry that embodies the spirit of the Corcoran Tartan, seamlessly blending tradition and modernity. This tartan is made from 100% acrylic wool for durability and comfort.
