Known as "The Dolmen County," Carlow is home to the Brownshill Dolmen, a 6,000-year-old megalithic portal tomb with the largest capstone in Europe, weighing over 100 tonnes. This ancient site is a symbol of the county's deep historical roots. Created by Polly Kitteridge for the House of Edgar in 1997, this tartan reflects the county's natural beauty and historical significance, blending modern aesthetics with traditional elements.
