Clan Buchanan is renowned in Scottish history, named after the lands they settled on the eastern side of Loch Lomond over the last 700 years. The name "Buchanan" is believed to originate from "McAuslan," meaning "son of Ansel." In Gaelic, it is "Mac a' Chanon Aich," translating to "Son of the Canon." The Buchanan family historian notes that these lands were granted to the clan chief in recognition of their valiant service against the Danes during the reign of Malcolm II. The clan's history is deeply intertwined with Scotland's tumultuous past, and the Buchanan Ancient Tartan serves as a proud symbol of their enduring legacy and contribution to Scottish heritage. </

Custom Weave tartans are woven to order, the tartan weaving process taking approximately 4-5 weeks.

Who do we use to deliver your order?
Our back office systems are fully integrated with DHL and FEDEX which means that the second your parcel is dispatched you will be sent an email containing your tracking details. this allows both you and us to track your parcel's every move from our door to yours!
