Arbuthnot Tartan

The land of Arbuthnot was believed to be in the hands belonging to the Swinton family during the time of William I of Scotland. The first documented instance of the family being given the name Arbuthnot is in 1355. Philip de Arbuthnot was described as "of that ilk". The Tartan was registered with Lord Lyon in 1962. The Chief of the present clan is Keith Arbuthnot, 17th Viscount of Arbuthnot.
Over 35 generations of Arbuthnot have lived in Arbuthnot House and there is an old charter from 16th May 1542 that grants the barony and land from Arbuthnot in the name of Robert Arbuthnot and his heirs. Arbuthnot Tartan is suitable for any occasion or event. It is constructed from Acrylic Wool fabric and is characterized by blue, green, and black with white lines through it. This will make the tartan lighter and provide it with more balance. The Tartan Outfit is guaranteed to bring the wearer back to Arbuthnot's roots which never bowed down before inhumane acts.
